I run B House Brands to bring ideas to life in thread and fabric, pairing thoughtful stitching with my passion for creativity and in honor of the beautiful ladies who instilled this passion within me.

📖 Who I Am

I'm Andrea, and I run B House Brands, a custom embroidery and stitch shop where I bring ideas to life in thread. My love of fabric art began at an early age. I remember my mother cross stitching pre-marked flour sac kitchen towels. She always had some sort of stitching work on her lap, was working in her garden, or otherwise taking care of us - she never sat still. As I got older, elementary to middle school aged, I would tag along to the local quilting bee at my church. I looked forward to that once a week time during summer breaks. Those Busy Bees fueled my interest even further, bringing quilts to life by hand, one stitch at a time. Mrs. Betty, my mom and others will forever be etched into the fabric that makes me. An especially sweet lady once tried to teach me to tat, a skill I did not master and the basics of rag rug making. In my early twenties, I joined another awesome group of ladies, the willing workers, at The Hen House Ministry in Swansea, SC. It’s been decades since I was there, but that group is still going strong. I count myself lucky to have been the youngest member at the time; learning and growing. Today, my business is named in honor of these two organizations, The Busy Bees and the Henhouse Ministry.

💼 What I Do

Today I create custom embroidered pieces and dabble in the occasional quilt; reminiscing about the days when I sat around the quilting frame. I also create items from scratch and have found most things jelly roll to be quite addictive. My hand made items will pop up for sale now and then alongside my embroidered offerings. They can be found in the Boutique Accessories menu.
